Our Global Manufacturing Client has an opportunity for a Senior Buyer to join their Indirect Team.

Working within the Global Services Team, the Senior Buyer will be responsible for procuring a broad range of indirect goods and services to support the business needs.

Responsibilities of the role will include:

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for your category spend area
• Prepare, coordinate and execute sourcing decisions for spend area
• Manage the end-to-end procurement process - issuing RFI, tenders, commercial and contract negotiations
• Negotiate with suppliers to achieve market-competitive pricing and acceptable commercial terms
• Build strong working relationships with Supplier to discuss performance and drive continuous improvement
• Work closely with colleagues to understand their short-term and long-term needs
• Implement a Preferred Supplier List

Experience and knowledge required for the role:

• Experience working in a similar procurement/sourcing role
• Proven track record of sourcing and procuring indirect materials and services
• Proven experience across the full Procurement lifecycle (Sourcing, Contracting and Supplier Management)
• Strong negotiation and commercial skills
• Communication and relationship-building skills who can work effectively with internal Colleagues and Suppliers
• Can prioritise workload and manage multiple projects
• Ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives
